Sixties pop legend bikes for Chesterfield

Dave Berry, the 1960s pop star, completed a one-day sponsored cycle ride of the Chesterfield Canal on 15th April, to raise money for the Chesterfield Canal Trust (CCT). Cycling from the site of the new canal basin in Chesterfield, Dave was accompanied by two friends - Jeff Troops and Ian Stott. Two CCT members, George Bunting and Rod Auton, joined them for the first 18 miles to Shireoaks, where they paused at the canalside Laura's Coffee Shop.
