PADDLEBOARDERS-ON-THAMES

Paddleboarders wanting to use the tidal Thames (there are increasing numbers of them, apparently) have been given clearance by the Port of London Authority. For the first time they are to be allowed to paddle downstream as far as Tower Bridge, under tight restrictions. Until now they were not permitted to go below Putney Pier. However, the authority says only experienced boarders should attempt to go downstream.
