INTEGRATED CONCEPTS IN WATER RECYCLING (ICWR2005)

ICWR2005 promises to be among the most important international water recycling events this year. The conference program will feature water reuse professionals and experts from Europe, America, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Middle East. This gathering of international minds will explore a wide range of regional, technical, social and economic issues relating to water recycling. Dr. Miquel Salgot from the University of Barcelona will address the question of what types of water quality standards might be set to provide necessary levels of safety for water reuse. He will propose quality categories for different forms of reuse such as irrigation or indirect aquifer recharge with different requirements towards microbial and chemical paramerers. Microbial and chemical parameters with limits for the different categories have been compiled based on recent existing guidelines and risk estimations.
