AWA IS ALIVE AND WELL

I had the good fortune to attend a number of major AWA events last month; August is the month in which the Branches have their AGMs and, in several cases, annual dinners. There were over 300 people in attendance at the Brisbane Gala Dinner and 180 at Townsville's Annual Dinner. Victoria continued to set the pace, with a huge 500 people attending its Annual Dinner in Melbourne. In NSW, I was able to attend part of the Annual "Heads of Water" seminar titled Who Needs Water. At each event I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the participants and the individual "spin" (dare I use that word) put on each function by the Branch.
