AWA SPECIALTY CONFERENCE: SUSTAINING THE RIVERS AND RESERVOIRS

The specialty conference was held on the 17-18 November 2009 in Canberra. Sponsored by the State Water Corporation of NSW, the National Water Commission and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, the conference was attended by about 100 delegates from across the water industry. Sustainability has now become an integral part of managing our bulk water supply systems, and this conference aimed to highlight the latest developments in that field. With presentations ranging from environmental assessments and basin wide water management plans to on-ground implementation aspects, the conference provided a good forum for discussion.
