Epa Picks Estuaries To Trial Climate-change Remediation Activities

The US EPA has chosen six estuaries as test sites to improve local action to protect sensitive coastal ecosystems and economies from climate change effects, as the first steps in its new 'climate-ready estuaries' effort. The programme is one of over 40 actions to counter water-related impacts of climate change set out in a draft strategy that has been developed by the National Water Program to help water resource managers adapt their programmes to climate change.
