Appointment Of Sarah Tibatemwa To Iwa Africa Office

IWA is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Sarah Tibatemwa to the position of Director, IWA Africa office. Sarah is a holder of a Master's Degree in Water and Environmental Management and has ten years of experience in water and wastewater quality laboratory analysis. She started working with the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) in 1997 as a Senior Chemist and was subsequently promoted to the post of Principal Analyst in 2000. During this time, Sarah became the lead officer in the development of Water Safety Plans for all 22 NWSC water supply areas. She is an active member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) International Network on Management of Small Community Water supplies, was a member of the implementing team of the Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project, and also formed part of the expert group that reviewed the final draft of WHO Guidelines on Safe use of Human Excreta and Greywater, in 2005.
