The implemented GPIR is able to determine the most efficient system for detecting water leaks.This system is capable of performing imaging of underground assets. The use of an efficient DSS makes the whole system a very attractive and useful tool for most water utility companies, since the outcome would suggest an integrated solution for water leak detection and rehabilitation of pipelines. The next step is to attempt to integrate the proposed system with a Continuous Wave Doppler Radar system, which was implemented in the 5th framework of European Commission projects.This system is able to find water leaks with a high degree of accuracy, without having any imaging capabilities.
