UK process engineering company Enpure Ltd has been awarded the design and supply contract to provide a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) and dual media filtration (DMF) pre-treatment plant capable of treating around 1040 Ml/d by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Company Limited. Enpure says that it sees this award as a major step forward in the application of its Enflo-vite DAF technology, and related work it is undertaking in the desalination market place. Enflo-Vite is a high-rate DAF system that, in the case of Ras Az Zawr, is designed to operate at around 26m/h.
