Meeting Canada's First Nations's watsan needs: two year investment period to improve and expand services

The sum of CAN$330.8 million has been pledged to be invested over a two year period by Canada on improving water and wastewater services in First Nation reserves. The challenge in improving First Nations potable and wastewater systems in Canada is not inconsiderable-there are over 600 recognised First Nations in the country, as well as the Inuit and Metis aboriginal peoples, in total around one million of the 35 million population.
