The Future Water Conference -'Building resilience: A sector fit for the future' took place in June at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The conference was addressed by a panel that included Anne Mclntosh MP, Chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, Ian Barker, Head of Water, Land and Biodiversity, Environment Agency, Tony Smith, Chief Executive, Consumer Council for Water and Alan Sutherland, Water Commission for Scotland. These regarded speakers presented their ideas on how the water sector can remain resilient financially, technologically and environmentally. The second half of the conference consisted of workshops aimed at defining the innovations and perspectives that would help build resilience and secure the sector's future.
