1. Degremont has signed a contract with Delta Electricity to operate and maintain the water reclamation plant at Vales Point Power Station in New South Wales, Australia. The project began in May 2014 and will run for an initial term of two years, encompassing the delivery of new membranes, supply of chemicals and overall operation, remote monitoring and management of the facility. For this new contract, Bertrand Garnier, the technical and new offers director of Degremont Industry, explains that 'our operating contract comprises the supply of new membranes and chemicals. It's quite an undertaking for us and we will be able to supply new chemicals in order to optimise the performance of the plant. We've signed a contract for an initial two years, after which we will be able to further support and improve the plant with a view to be selected for the renewal of the contract for another two years. In general, the industry is not looking for long-term arrangements but for flexible solutions.'
