Atlas Copco Secoroc Debuts New Pilot Bit

Atlas Copco Secoroc introduces the PrimO pilot bit. The pilot bit employs enhanced features to increase the bearing and cutting structure life of the current pilot bit design. The PrimO pilot bit features a contoured shirttail to reduce heat on the seal area and carbide inserts on the shirttail to increase the life of the shirttail and seals. The PrimO also employs a dual seal arrangement that includes a primary seal and an excluder for longer seal life. Longer seal life in adverse conditions means longer running hours in the pilot hole and longer holes.
