The Water Quality Association (WQA) held its annual Mid-Year Leadership Conference in September in Nashville, generating news in several areas:rn• Industrial water treatment: At the WQA Aquatech USA trade show in Las Vegas in March 2008, WQA will give companies involved in industrial water treatment a new place to show off their contracting, consulting and /or supplier capabilities. This will be in what WQA is calling an "industrial speed dating" session. At this session, a room will be set aside for companies seeking more business in industrial water treatment installations and service. They''ll have the opportunity to form alliances with other such companies, or to make contacts with manufacturers and distributors selling to that sector. WQA leaders say it''s a first step toward eventually creating a section of the trade show floor for industrial water treatment exhibits, a section which could be created as early as the 2009 show.
