Small community water systems — serving anything from a few mobile homes to a housing subdivision — have recently been challenged by new drinking water contaminant regulations. Meanwhile, federal and many state regulators now accept that point-of-use/point-of-entry (POU/POE) technology can translate easily into the realm of "small systems technolo-gy"(see August 2006 Water Technology~® cover story: "POU/POE: The missing piece for small systems?").
