Scenario building is a process that helps managers explore and understand the uncertainty that complicates their management options. With a better understanding of uncertainty, managers can appropriately incorporate it in the strategy development process. Scenarios can be used as a testing framework for new management alternatives and ideas. The alternatives can be tested in the SLR scenario worlds to understand how they perform in different conditions. SLR scenarios present a structured method that helps managers move past common stumbling blocks and avoid potentially costly delays in deployment of a SLR adaptation strategy.
