A draft EPA research office paper urges federal and state regulators to consider new, broadly applicable stormwater policies to spur adoption of "green infrastructure" technologies in order to combat a host of barriers to implementation - and aid climate change adaptation, an issue that also faces implementation hurdles. The report by EPA Office of Research & Development National Center for Environmental Assessment staff, compiles recommendations from workshops and other community-level sessions hosted by EPA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration across the Chesapeake Bay and the Great Lakes from 2011-15 on stormwater policy in general and climate adaptation in particular.
