EPA Extends Compliance Deadlines For NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule

EPA is extending by five years the compliance deadlines for a Clean Water Act electronic reporting rule after state regulators said additional time was needed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, calling for more time to file certain reports electronically than the three-year extension the agency had proposed earlier this year. In a final rule published in the Nov. 2 Federal Register, EPA postpones the compliance deadlines for the Phase 2 National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NDPES) electronic reporting rule (eRule) from Dec. 21,2020, to Dec. 21, 2025.
