Konzessionserneuerung Laufwasserkraftwerk Dietikon an der Limmat

In autumn 2017, the canton of Zurich granted building permission for the renewal of the concession for the historic Dietikon run-of-river power plant for a further 60 years. In the existing main power plant, both Kaplan turbines will be replaced (new Q = 2 x 47.5 m(3)/s, H-N = 3.4 m, P = 2 x 1.7 MW) and an ecological discharge power plant (Q = 25 m(3)/s, H-N = 3.1 m, P = 770 kW) will be built nearby the existing weir. Compared to the existing plant, from 2019, there will be produced 19.70 GWh/a, about 14% more than today. During the renovation works, measures will be taken at both power plants to ensure that the system is fish friendly.
