DISNEYS 'PLANES 2' TO FEATURE FIRE- FIGHTING SEAPLANES

Planes: Fire & Rescue, an upcoming 3D computer-animated comedy-adventure film, is the sequel to the 2013 film Planes, a spin-off of Pixar's Cars franchise. Directed by Bobs Gannaway and produced by DisneyToon Studios, it will be released theatrically by Walt Disney Pictures on July 18. Dane Cook will reprise his role of plane Dusty Crophopper, with Julie Bowen joining the cast as Lil' Dipper. When Planes premiered at Air Venture 2013, SPA and several members nudged some of the creators to feature Dusty as a seaplane in the next installment of the movie. Less than 12 months later and after numerous discussions with SPA and Wipaire, the announcement was made.
