VIKING AIR 400S

Viking Air Limited of Victoria, British Columbia, has introduced the Viking Twin Otter 400S as the world's first dedicated seaplane in the 15- to 19-passenger category. Viking says the 400S is specifically designed as an economical commercial seaplane for short to medium flight segments, and will be offered at a list price under $6 million. Under typical operating conditions, the 400S can achieve break-even operation with a load factor of about 8 passengers, according to Viking Air.
