摘要

Municipalities and water managers traditionally make distinctions between water based on its origin; regulations and management strategies for stormwater or greywater, for example, differ from those geared toward drinking water. By contrast, the "One Water" approach regards all types of water as a single resource. Mobilizing state-of-the-art treatment technologies to bring even highly contaminated streams to potable quality, One Water represents a change in perspective for the global water sector that can lead to new frontiers in water reuse. At WEFTEC 2019, several speakers discussed One Water projects and initiatives to help the sector navigate common reuse hurdles, such as purity, price, and public perception.
