Norcal Wants Customers To 'see' Trash

Norcal Waste Systems Inc. wants San Franciscans to take another look at their trash. "We're in an all-out effort here to encourage people to reduce the amount of garbage they create and to recycle materials," said Robert Reed, a spokesman for the company. "We look for unique ways to get people to think about their garbage and look at their garbage," he said. To that end, the San Francisco-based company has plastered three-dimensional graphics on the sides of 20 collection vehicles that handle both trash and recy-clables.
