Collaborative Approach Delivers Successful Outcomes in 'e-Waste' Pilot Program

More than 3,500 TVs, computer monitors and VCRs were diverted from landfill during the pilot product stewardship project known as 'Beyond the Dead TV - Managing End-of-Life Consumer Electronics' which has been established in Victoria. The aim of the project was to develop a range of sustainable solutions that can help reduce, and ultimately eliminate, all hazardous materials from end-of-life electronics (e-Waste) - thereby preventing them from entering landfills and presenting ecological or human health problems.
