Get the basics right on reef water quality

The Queensland Government is establishing a targeted compliance program to help cut water pollution causing damage to the Great Barrier Reef. The Department of Environment and Heritage Protection is establishing the compliance program in consultation with key industry bodies, which will play an important role in the government's plan to improve the health of the reef. Minister for the Great Barrier Reef, Steven Miles, said that under the program, dedicated officers would work with farmers to meet their legislative obligations.
