GlaxoSmithKline said it halted a trial of its low blood platelet treatment Promacta in patients with liver disease after six patients in the study (4 percent of the total group) experienced blood clots.rnThe company also is working with the FDA to change the labeling for Promacta to include safety information specific to this situation.
