Australia's environment ministers have agreed to a new national policy on waste and resource management. The historic agreement took place in Perth at the biannual meeting of the Environment Protection and Heritage Council (EPHC).rnThe 1992 National Strategy for Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) provided an impetus for all levels of government to introduce a broad range of waste minimisation and management policies, programs and legislation, including visions, strategies, targets and priorities.
