摘要

Woolen fabrics were printed with a paste containing a redox system (ammonium persulphate -glycerol) and amino acids (glutamic acid, arginine, lysine). The printed fabrics were evaluated in terms of their printability, color fastness and shrinkage properties as well as stiffness of the substrate. The surface morphology was characterized by comparative microscope images. Our results reveal that the combination of amino acids and redox system leads to an increased sorption and the formation of covalent bonds in addition to the usual ionic bonds between the dye and the wool fiber. The combination of amino acids and a redox system is found to be effective in enhancing the printability of wool fabrics with Acid Red dye. Furthermore, the process of low-temperature dyeing of wool was investigated. Proposed technology prevented the destruction of the material, contributing to an increase in strength and elasticity of the woolen substrate.
