Specific Measures to Realise Specific Export Targets in 2006

Vietnam's Trade Ministry has planned to post total export revenues of US$38.44 billion this year, up 18.5 per cent against last year. To this end, the country will strengthen the manufacture of items with potential production expansion such as garments, textiles, footwear, electronic appliances, computer components, woodwork, plasticware, bicycles and their spare parts, and electric wires and cables; increase added value of goods with restricted production expansion capacibility; and create favourable conditions for exports to penetrate more deeply into foreign markets.
