Vizada and Absolute Maritime Tracking Systems -a subsidiary of Absolute Software - have been jointly selectedrnto provide Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) services for vessels in Panamanian waters - an arrangement that Will; cover a total of more than 8,000 ships.rnAt the behest of the Panama Maritime Authority, the two bodies will manage all LRIT data, including the transmission of automatic position reports (APRs), disclosing the vessel's identity and position, at least four times a day-which will constitute arnminimumof 11.6 million LRIT reports per annum.
