Few lowly insects have been better known and liked than the cheerful, spotted ladybug. But these days, the love affair has ended for many homeowners, as millions of imported la-dybugs, the Asian multicolored lady beetle, invade houses from Maine to Florida to Oregon. Seeking refuge from the cold, the beetles enter homes through cracks and uncaulked windows in the fall.
