The book edited by Anders Blok and Ignacio Farias collects contributions that explore the potentialities of Action-Network Theory (ANT) when put in relation with urban realities and urban studies. Thus, the volume emphasizes the key role cities play in the analysis of human and nonhuman interactions and in the development of new onto-logical, epistemological, and methodological sensibilities. For the editors, this book has involved the adoption of premises rooted in ANT, but mainly a commitment to pushing ANT's research and political agendas in new directions. In this sense, the book aims to expand the bridges between ANT and urban studies by bringing together international contributors with multidisciplinary backgrounds and interests. Therefore, the reader will find interesting and stimulating chapters that attempt to re-theorize the urban condition by problematizing and conceptualizing multiple in-the-making urban realities.
