The book 'The Intercultural City: Planning for Diversity Advantage' by P. Wood and Ch. Landry follows and merges two relevant contemporary trends of environmental, social development and management. The first trend reflects on democra-tisation efforts in urban planning and architectural design. It continues throughout the second half of the twentieth and the beginning of twenty-first century and is well reflected in the works of PH. Chombart de Lauwe who had devoted his career to make the dialog between planners, architects and residents more vocal (Newsome, 2006).
