Sasol unveils new strategy

JOHANNESBURG-listed Sasol has unveiled a new strategy to navigate a path through the energy transition with natural gas and, eventually, green hydrogen at the heart of these plans. Sasol will start importing liquefied natural gas in the mid-2020s and is looking at options including the planned Matola LNG terminal in Mozambique and a proposed facility in Richards Bay, South Africa. The company is also in talks with Mozambique's government about securing access to potential gas-prone acreage close to its producing Temane and Pande gas fields.
