Eni teams up with SKK Migas in exploration drive

ITALIAN major Eni has teamed up with Indonesia's upstream regulator SKK Migas to target exploration activities in the Southeast Asian republic. The memorandum of understanding, signed late last week, defines the framework for further co-operation in the processing and interpretation of seismic data owned by Indonesia by utilising Eni's proprietary technologies and facilities, as well as seismic imaging algorithms. Eni said its agreement with SKK Migas "represents a further international recognition for its technological resources", in particular the computing and processing capabilities of its Green Data Center in Ferrera Erbognone, where Eni's HPC4 and HPC5 supercomputers are located.
