TECHNIPFMC has won an engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for Ithaca Energy's Captain Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project in the central part of the UK North Sea. Although the London-based contractor did not specify the deal value, it described the contract as "significant", a term it uses to denote deals worth between $75 million and $250 million. TechnipFMC will design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment, including a rigid riser caisson, water-injection flexible flow-line, umbilicals and associated equipment. Ithaca announced in early April that it had taken a final investment decision on the Captain field's next stage of development. The project will involve drilling new subsea wells, subsea infrastructure and additional topsides facilities.
