NPCC takes lead in race for Adnoc tender prize

ABU Dhabi's National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) has emerged as the potential front runner for a prized engineering, procurement and construction contract from Adnoc subsidiary Al Yasat Petroleum Operations involving its Belbazem oil and gas offshore development. At least three people with direct knowledge of the tender process told Upstream that the much-delayed Belbazem project is nearing its decision phase, with NPCC said to be in poJe position for the coveted job. Al Yasat is a subsidiary of state-owned giant Adnoc, which has a 60% stake in the joint venture -with China National Petroleum Corporation holding the remaining 40%.
