Saipem leads race for three Aramco awards

ITALY'S Saipem is in pole position to land three prized engineering, procurement and construction contracts from Saudi Aramco for work on its Berri, Abu Safah and other key offshore oilfields. Aramco has been treading cautiously on greenfield capacity expansion projects in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and resultant economic downturn, but is expected to continue spending on brownfield projects that are aimed at maintaining the production profile of some its largest offshore oilfields.
