Hopes high for Nigerian FLNG project plans

PLANS are afoot in Nigeria to tap associated gas from a producing shallow-water field via a $1.2 billion newbuild floating liquefied natural gas vessel. If the proposed project moves ahead, it could light the touch paper for the installation of multiple FLNG vessels in a country with vast gas resources, most of which is either stranded or flared.
