Brazil OSV tender bids land

ELEVEN shipping companies have submitted a total of 41 bids in a Petrobras tender to contract anchor-handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) for work off Brazil. One broker who spoke to Upstream said that, depending on the number of vessels Petrobras intends to charter, total contracts could be worth more than $100 million. Petrobras has split the tender into four lots, with packages 1 and 4 calling for the contracting of AHTS-TO - an acronym used by Petrobras to denote tug offloading vessels - while packages 2 and 3 are for the charter of AHTS-TS - tug supply boats.
