Israeli pipe tender suspended

ISRAEL'S government has been forced to suspend a bid process covering the engineering and construction of a $220 million offshore gas pipeline due to a dispute over who will pay for the 42-kilometre long facility. Upstream was told by two sources that Italy's Saipem and Micoperi as well as Dutch player Allseas were among the contractors taking part in the tender competition and were due to submit technical and commercial offers by 4 November.
