BW hands over FPSO

BW Offshore has reached the end of the line with its Umuroa floating production, storage and offloading vessel, which remains on the Tui oilfield off New Zealand despite the permit's operator Tamarind becoming insolvent last December. The board of Oslo-listed BW resolved to put into voluntary liquidation the wholly owned subsidiary BW Umuroa (BWU) that owns and operates the FPSO.
