Perenco eyes FSO for Brazil

ANGLO-FRENCH independent Perenco plans to contract a floating storage and offloading vessel to support activities at a trio of shallow-water fields in the Campos basin off Brazil. The company last month submitted a document to federal environmental regulator Ibama calling for the deployment of an FSO to handle production from the Pargo, Cara-peba and Vermelho fields. The idea, according to Perenco, is to have the FSO operating in the Pargo cluster in December 2021, although the company did not disclose more information about the scope of the unit to be chartered, only saying it will be based on an aframax-size tanker.
