SUBSEA contracts worth at least $4.25 billion have been delayed for a minimum of two years, according to London-based TechnipFMC. Chief executive Doug Pferdehirt late last week told analysts after the company posted a second-quarter profit: "We have identified eight projects that have been extended beyond mid-2022." He added: "Importantly, none of these developments have been cancelled and they remain longer-terms opportunities for future awards." The schemes pinpointed are Petronas' Kelidang in Malaysia, BP's PAJ and Eni's Agogo off Angola, ExxonMobil's Neptun Deep off Romania, Shell's Gato de Mato and Petrobras' Lula in Brazil, BP's Tortue phase two off Mauritania and Senegal, and Woodside Petroleum's Browse in Australian waters.
