Ten to fight for terminal

TEN companies have pre-qual-ified to participate in a tender for the long-term lease of a Petrobras liquefied natural gas regasification terminal in Brazil. Golar Power, Gas Natural do Brasil, Bahiagas, Repsol LNG, BP Energy, Compass Gas, Total Gas, Shell, Excelerate Energy and BG Brasil have been approved to bid for the Bahia LNG terminal in the Bay of All Saints archipelago. On offer is the use of an LNG terminal with regasification capacity of 20 million cubic metres per day of natural gas, plus the associated 28-inch, 45-kilometre pipeline connecting it to two delivery points in the Brazilian gas distribution system.
