摘要

AUSTRALIA'S Woodside Petroleum remains committed to its Burrup Hub development concept despite this week delaying a final investment decision on its Browse gas scheme until at least 2023. Woodside was set to sanction its Scarborough and Pluto Train 2 developments this year, which would then be followed by the sanctioning of Browse in 2021, with all three projects forming the basis for Woodside's Burrup Hub vision. However, following the global coronavirus outbreak, Woodside has now pushed back Scarborough and Pluto Train 2 sanction to next year, while Browse was put on an indefinite hiatus. While Woodside remains committed to Browse, the minimum two-year delay also raises questions over the North West Shelf's (NWS) Karratha gas plant, where gas from Browse was anticipated to keep the trains full.
