A Saipem-led joint venture building liquefied natural gas facilities for Total's Mozambique LNG project is in the market for a logistics contractor, while Total itself needs a company to provide brokerage services in the country. The expression of interest (EoI) from the CCS joint venture - which includes Chiyoda and CB&I - covers the provision of various logistic and support services at Afungi, including transportation, material handling, loading and offloading operations. The chosen bidder also needs to supply staff and equipment. Total's Eol covers customs brokerage services. The successful contractor will be one with experience of working on large-scale projects such as the 12.9 million tonne per annum Mozambique JUNG facility.
