BW Energy's eyes on Gabon

BW ENERGY will press on with a stalled third development phase at its Dussafu Marin licence off Gabon despite suffering a loss in the first quarter as lower oil prices due to the Covid-19 pandemic slashed revenue. Chief executive Carl Arnet said there will be "a restart decision once the logistical challenges created by Covid-19 are resolved" as investment in the third phase is still seen as profitable even at lower oil prices. BW had been poised to make a final investment decision late last year on the proposed $445 million development.
