Shell and Eni lead on climate

EUROPE'S biggest oil and gas companies are still overstating their climate ambitions despite making welcome progress in setting carbon-reduction targets, according to new research by investors managing $19 trillion in global assets. The Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI), which assesses how prepared companies are for the transition to a low-carbon economy, published the analysis on Tuesday. It compared recent pledges to cut emissions by Shell, BP, Total, Repsol, Eni and OMV.
