Santos weighs up bids for Dorado subsea prize

SUBSEA contractors have submitted their proposals to Australian operator Santos for the subsea equipment component of the high-profile Dorado oil project off Western Australia. The subsea aspect of Dorado comprises umbilicals, risers and flowlines that will connect an offshore wellhead platform to a floating production, storage and offloading vessel. Companies to have submitted proposals for the pre-front-end engineering and design contract include some or all of Aker Solutions, Doris Engineering, IntecSea Engineering, Subsea 7, Technip-FMC and Wood, said contracting sources.
